1. A light fixture as an object

If we use artificial light, we can’t escape the fact that we need a light fixture which has a defined shape and takes a particular position. Here, the experimental light fixture has the shape of a tube. The light fixture and the light source are perceived as the same object and take a prominent position in the space as a physical sculptural element. The actual light sources are hidden in the tube and allow more dynamics than expected: the light fixture can produce direct and diffuse light and can produce different colours simultaneously.
